My Journey
My early career, in the 1980’s, focused on media and marketing. I worked as a film and television location manager, in the documentary film world, public relations, tech marketing, and book publishing. I then took a sharp turn to the right-side of my brain, working as a certified massage therapist and creative writer. For several years I employed all these skills and more as a fulltime stay-at-home mother. When I reentered the world beyond parenthood I earned a master’s degree in creative writing, and then somewhat mysteriously found myself managing my husband’s holistic medical practice in New York City.
That peaked my own interested in healing practices. I sought training and/or certifications in reiki, Reconnective Healing, EFT, human design, akashic record reading, mediumship, and as a death doula. I studied with Shamans around the globe. But my greatest teacher has been the process of life itself; my beloved husband’s terminal illness, conscious death, and afterlife communication is my living “PhD dissertation” on facing the end-of-physical-life. Listening and sharing helps me remember, stay steady, and keep my heart open.
